Maxima becomes the Sole Provider of Moscow City Wi-Fi

MaximaTelecom, Europe’s largest public Wi-Fi provider, won a tender to providing services as of the city’s Sole Wi-Fi provider. The Moscow Wi-Fi network currently consists of 15K hotspots.

The Moscow IT Department points out that one goal of its Wi-Fi development strategy is the creation of a unified, convenient and affordable cyberspace based on seamless Wi-Fi access technologies within the city. The maximum number of Moscow citizens and tourist attractions will be combined into a single space. MaximaTelecom will unite all of the city Wi-Fi networks established by other providers onto a single digital platform to integrate up to 25 K hotspots.
