Moscow Exchange registers MaximaTelecom’s RUB 15 billion bond issue

Moscow Exchange has registered the debut 001P series of MaximaTelecom bonds worth up to 15 billion rubles.

The program is open-ended, and bonds can be placed for up to ten years under the program.

The company plans to debut in the public debt market in the second quarter of 2020. The specific parameters of the debut issue will be announced later.

The funds from bonds placement will be used primarily for business development and refinancing the company’s debts to banks.

“Over the last six years, MaximaTelecom has been growing steadily, progressing from a free Wi-Fi project for the Moscow Metro to complex high-performance Smart City systems. The demand for digital urban infrastructure solutions is growing all the time, with the crisis resulting in even more demand for such solutions. This also applies to MaximaTelecom’s product portfolio. Projects in Big Data analytics, communication with the public and coronavirus response measures require the company to invest heavily in development. As both global and Russian markets are recovering after the pandemic, we felt the need to issue bonds”, says MaximaTelecom CEO Boris Volpe.

MaximaTelecom is a Russian technology company that creates, maintains and monetizes infrastructure for digital cities. The company won Wi-Fi Industry Awards for creating the best Wi-Fi network (Moscow Metro free Wi-Fi project). MaximaTelecom operates about 32 thousand access points throughout Russia. MaximaTelecom Group also includes Kvant, a joint venture with Gazprom-Media Holding operating in AdTech and Big Data.
